St Loye’s CEO speaks at national conference ERSA
On December 8th Eilis Rainsford, Chief Executive at St Loye’s Foundation and Community Care Trust, spoke at the national conference ERSA (Employment Related Services Association).
Established in 2005, ERSA is the representative body for the employment support sector and exists to help its members achieve their shared goal: to help people gain sustainable employment.
Eilis was invited to the annual ERSA conference to speak about our experience of the delivery of the Specialist Employability Support (SES) programme.
SES is the DWP’s major programme, designed to help people to find and sustain employment. The service supports disabled people who need support to enter work or undertake work-related courses and activities.
Eilis said: “I was delighted that ERSA approached our organisation where our specialist experience in health and employment was recognised on a national level. A key theme throughout the day was the need to improve the link between mental health and employment and as such, gave further credence to our merging organisation.”
Other speakers included Right Honourable Priti Patel Minister of the State for Employment, Matt Thurstan Director for Contracted Employment Provision at DWP, Shaw Trusts CEO Roy O’Shaughnesy, Helen Cameron Head of Public Affairs at the Salvation Army and many other employment professionals.
