About Duathlon

2011 St Loye’s Foundation Duathlon Challenge On the day:

Each challenge entrant is encouraged to bring 3 adult supporters who will receive free day entry to Killerton before 12pm, with accompanying children under 16 also entering for free. The Duathlon Challenge registration is open from 9.00am with the event starting at 10.30am.  There will be a discount voucher for Killerton tea room for all entrants of the challenge.

Age limits:

All participants in the St Loye’s Duathlon Challenge must be 16 years of age or over on 31st December 2010. Entries for those aged 16-18 on the day of the challenge must have their entries countersigned by a parent/guardian.

Trophies and prizes:

Trophies and prizes will be awarded in various categories with an annual trophy for the organisation that raises the most sponsorship for St Loye’s Foundation.


All funds raised through the event will go towards our 2012 ‘Go for Gold’ campaign, which will help us deliver a bespoke service supporting individuals with learning difficulties and autism to access work, training and independent living skills.

Raising sponsorship is optional, but all sponsorship would be greatly received.

Entry costs:

 £22 if…you are an individual entrant with British Triathlon Federation membership … you are entering as a team and both entrants have British Triathlon Federation membership.

 £25 if…you are an individual entrant without British Triathlon Federation membership … you are entering as a team with one entrant who is not a British Triathlon Federation membership.

 £28 if…you are entering as a team and both entrants do not have British Triathlon Federation membership.

The £3 fee for non – members is for a day membership scheme with the British Triathlon Federation which ensures that as a competitor you are provided with civil liability and personal accident cover. This is a legal requirement when taking part in an event affiliated with the British Triathlon Federation.

The National Trust is a registered charity. £1 from your entry fee will fund vital conservation work of Killerton’s historic buildings and landscape.

Venue – Killerton Estate

The 5k run follows a cross-country route through parkland, along woodland trails and rural tracks taking in stunning views across to Haldon Forest. The 20k leisure cycle heads out into country lanes and forest tracks, circling the Killerton estate,  finishing at the top of the main drive with a warm welcome at the house.
